Canopy Installation – Part 1

Began final canopy installation by drilling the rest of the hinge rivet holes in the upper longeron and installing rivets. Quick painted the rivets by hand with a brush along with other minor touchups of black paint. Updrilled canopy hinge and side trim holes to 9/64″ and deburred. Installed closure spring on the canopy latch mechanism then reinstalled canopy latch onto canopy frame lubricating with LPS-1. Began attaching canopy bubble to frame using countersunk screws and washers and rubber washers as needed per trial fit. Will wait to attach sides until hinge half and side trim are painted. For the hole that was wallowed out by the broken tap, installed longer countersunk screw and lock nut through enlarged hole.
