Main Landing Gear Installation – Part 1

Started by setting up drill press to drill titanium legs. Opted to not trim gear legs and left the 1/8″ longer than plans. Drilled main gear legs using slowest speed on drill press and 1/8″ cobalt drill bit. After initial holes were drilled, updrilled holes to 1/4″. Deburred and sanded main gear leg holes in motor mount then inserted gear legs. Cleaned up mount bolt holes with gear legs in place and final drilled. Used sacrificial AN4-30 bolts to clear holes then inserted final bolts. Snugged bolts then backed off 1/2 turn per plans and applied torque seal. Deburred axle holes then drilled #40 pilot holes in axles. Slipped axle alignment spacers onto axles then clamped straight angle across axle. Need to check axle height and verify toe in before drilling.
