Fuselage Box Assembly – Part 1

Laid out side aft side panels on top of junk F22-01 bottom aft fuselage skin to establish alignment. Set rear aft skin gap of 2.5 inches with clamped-together metal angles and set forward aft skin gap of 40 inches using the same method. Beginning with the right hand side, squared RH aft side panel to table and bottom skin and drilled/clecoed bottom cross tie to vertical channel working aft to forward. Once bottom cross ties were clecoed to RH aft side panel, squared LH aft side panel to table and bottom skin and drilled/clecoed LH vertical channels. Once bottom cross ties were set, squared aft fuselage frame with metal squares and pilot drilled/clecoed upper cross ties into place. Did not do anything with #1 cross tie due to changes in conversion. Rechecked squareness once cross ties were installed. Pilot drilled and clecoed aft bulkhead into place along with F23-03 Forward Lower Mount Angle and fit vertical tail assembly to check progress. Test fit seemed okay. Still need to fit and pilot drill Details B, F, and M per B-Model plans.
