Attached W17-01L assembly to main spar. Bolt direction altered from plans to account for rivet interference. Starting inboard and working outboard, attached forward and aft ribs 1-5 to main spar and riveted into place. Forward ribs scotchbrited, acetoned, deburred, and dimpled. Root Rib Prep – Part 4
Removed forward and aft root ribs from main spar and finished pilot drilling ribs to attach angles. Reinforcement gussets matched drilled and all holes up drilled. Everything deburred, prepped and riveted together. Root Rib assembly complete pending installation to main spar Hours Worked: 1.70

LH Wing Assembly – Part 8
Last two rows of rivets on lower side of forward skin up drilled. LH forward and aft upper wing skins removed to final drill aileron bell crank support holes and tie down bolt hole. Finally, lower aft skin removed from wing rib assembly Hours Worked: 1.37

LH Wing Assembly – Part 7
Up drilled top side of LH wing and most of bottom side. Yet to up drill forward two most rows of rivets on lower forward skin Hours Worked: 5.15

LH Wing Assembly – Part 6
Trimmed LH wing tip tail end where it attaches to rear spar and notched top edge for main spar. Trimmed a 1/2″ channel in the bottom edge of the wing tip to accommodate rib flanges pointing outwards. Wing tip pilot drilled to wing skins. Hours Worked: 0.82

Root Rib Prep – Part 3
Took W16-06 aft rib and modified it using template from plans into W16-11 aft root rib. Removed both forward and aft root rib attach angles to insert root ribs then temporarily reattached. Aligned root ribs to wing skin, pilot drilled and clecoed. Holes then transferred from root rib attach angles to root ribs and pilot…

Created W05-02 and W03-02 hinge halves from M3 piano hinge and pilot drilled/clecoed to LH wing. LH doubler clecoed onto wing and holes for root rib drilled into wing skins. Forward most row of lower forward skin holes pilot drilled and clecoed into place. Hours Worked: 2.49
