Cowl Fiberglass Work – Part 9

Rough sanded micro on upper cowl then final sanded; upper cowl should be finished with most micro work. Added micro to two low spots on lower cowl and let micro set. Fine sanded the two spots on the lower cowl with 120 grit; finally micro work should be finished. Laid out side exhaust vents onto lower cowl then pilot drilled and clecoed side vents. Fine tuned openings with rotary tool to clean up edges then updrilled side vent rivet holes. I am electing to rivet side vents to lower cowl instead of epoxying them to increase strength of bond. Attached lower cowl to fuselage followed by upper cowl. All in all, fitment of upper and lower cowl looks good and is ready for final touches.
