Aircraft Weight and Balane

Completed weighing process for initial weight and balance of aircraft. Started by leveling aircraft with tail wheel stand and aligning aircraft to floor squares. Ran tape measure along centerline of the aircraft and dropped plumb bob from spinner to set tip of spinner at 0″ (datum). Also dropped plumb bob from tailwheel to ensure tape was square with aircraft. Using laser level, established stations needed for weight and balance report and recorded arms for items in equipment list. After distances and arms were established, prepared aircraft and scales for weighing process. Decided to use Amazon postal scales (rated for up to 440 lbs each) rather than purchase or borrow certified aircraft scales. Placed ramps and scales in front of each main wheel. Placed garbage bags on top of scales to prevent friction from side-loads then tared scales with chocks on as well. Rolled aircraft onto scales and observed weights that were significantly less than what they should be after placing aircraft in level position. After experimenting a bit, discovered that the small wheel contact patch was bending the plastic scale platform and not equally contacting all four load cells on each scale. Cut (2) 1 sqft OSB platforms to go in between scales and garbage bags to help better spread the load out over the scale platforms. Repeated tare process then rolled aircraft onto main wheel scales. Lifted tail wheel and placed platform and tail wheel scale under tail wheel to level aircraft and recorded weights. Repeated this process two more times rotating scales through each wheel position to generate average weight for each wheel. Results of weighing process are as follows:
