Began process of tuning the AeroInjector. Immediately had issues getting engine started and struggled to keep it idling normally. The partial firing seems to indicate a too-rich condition with the #3 needle. Upon trying to adjust the needle, there were issues trying to turn the needle clockwise to lean the mixture. Decided to remove cowl and AeroInjector for inspection. Upon disassembly, discovered that the needle carrier was not able to be threaded all the way down in the slide. Cleaned out slide threads with a tap and needle was able to be adjusted through the full range. Reassembled AeroInjector and during installation, discovered bellcrank end of throttle cable was frayed and restricting throttle slide movement. Will need to replace.
